Apple has recently evolved as the largest retailers and consumers industry and recently secured an award of being the most powerful company of the world. Well that is true as the products and services show it up. Apple is perfect in every respect and that is why it has the consumers all over the world. Well have you ever noticed about the company that whatever ad we see related to Apple, either it is an iPhone or Apple TV, the time they have shown on the screen is always 9:42. This is a curious thing because things just don’t happen, they happen for a reason and we had no reason of this time always the same all this time.
So much speculation in fact that it is not unheard of for journalists to ask Apple’s own press team for a reason, only for them to draw a blank. We always knows that there has to be a reason and now it has came on the day light.
There are two opinions from the two executives of the company and you can decide which one is right by yourself. Bob Borcher who is Apple Exec claims that he knows the reason and he said that we launched Apple iPhone on 9:42 that is why we show up this date on all the iOS devices ads. Don’t you think this one is quite boring?
He said: “if you ever see an Apple ad, print or TV, you look at the time and it’s always going to be 9:42 and 9:42 is when we launched the iPhone.” He is right because the device was first unleashed on the same time but we think we expected some more into it. Isn’t it?
Let’s dig the story up further for the reason of the time scenario. Another executive named as Scott Forstall also jumped into the story and we think what he has said is right or has more logic in it. The story he said does fit to the broacher mark to some extent. He explained that the 9:42 reference is that in the Apple events, when the iPhone’s image pops up on the big screen, the event is around 40 minutes mark. Apple eventually plumped for 9:42, so that the time on the image would match, as near as possible, the actual time when the latest handset is shown off.
Scott said: “We design the (product launch) keynotes so that the big reveal of the product happens around 40 minutes into the presentation. When the big image of the product appears on screen, we want the time shown to be close to the actual time on the audience’s watches. But we know we won’t hit 40 minutes exactly.”
We think that one is quite logical and also tells us about the 9:41 mark on the ads of the iPad. Probably behind this mark, there is a similar story. Obviously it is not that much exact that the two times do line up exactly but chances are there that the launch and the time are real close. Still that is nothing to be done with the marketing or other stuff. This time mark had to be a reason and after this much years we finally have it by the two persons who are Apple employees. I personally think that these things does not have this much importance other than being in the news and other publicity stuff. We expected something real though it is not that much appealing, In comparison of the two opinions, Scott’s is more logical though.
What are your thoughts on this 9:42 thing? Do you think it is because Apple launched iPhone on this time mark or you are with the other opinion? Leave your comments and let us know your views on it. Do not forget to recommend us if this post helped you.
