Apple keeps on providing the best generations of its products and hackers are so keen to bring a jailbreak for those devices. Apple came up with the iPad 3 on March 7 which showed off many new features including much awaited retina display. The device runs on iOS 5.1 on which untethered jailbreak is not available. The latest untethered jailbreak is for iOS 5.0.1 thus iPad 3 users have to wait a little.
We have received many confirmations from different hackers showing the untethered jailbreak on iPad 3 as soon as they get that. The very first one on this race was Musclenerd who is the key member of iPhone Dev Team. He showed the Cydia running on the iPAd 3 after 12 hours it was on sale. This thing has given hope to many jailbreakers who are thinking to have the latest generation of the tablet.
Comes second to provide the untethered exploit on iOS 5.1 is a German Hacker named i0n1c. This was the previous ones and the latest news says that there is a third party as well who has developed the untethered exploit on iPad 3 running on iOS 5.1. Grant Paul and Paul Griffin are the names behind this new jailbreak who were able to find the exploit within 3 to 4 hours after getting their devices.
Musclenerd has noted when he showed his exploit that it needs a lot more work to do and he cannot mention any time or date on which he might make a public release. At least he has hoped all of us to wait for the untethered exploit. The i0n1c has not uttered any words about his intentions to make the untethered exploit public. We don’t know any release dates yet but one thing that the exploit is near.
We don’t have any official note from this thirdteam of developers about the untethered exploit for iOS 5.1. We will keep an eye on their updates and as soon as we get any thing from the developers, we will let you guys know about it.
