The electronics world has been racing in the development and innovation to generate some good revenue as the technology users are getting increased by every day passing. Tablet computers have created hype in the market as the many manufacturers are in the field and every player is lessening the cost and accommodating the maximum feature to make them a big hit.

In the mean while you won’t be able to see any tablet which is being powered by the software giant. Yes we are talking about the Microsoft Windows which is undoubtedly the most used operating system on desktops around the world.
In the world of tablets, Apple’s iOS operating system and Google’s Android operating system have dominated the market but there are number of users who think or want Windows in their tablets. According to a survey in which it was asked to the tablet users that what operating system they will go for in their tablets and amazingly a huge number answered with Windows.
Among the total number of users who were questioned, 42 % said that they want Windows tablet followed by iOS which had 27 % of the total users. In the remaining users, 20 % answered in favor of Android, 9 % went for black berry and only 3 % for web OS. The stats also involve the opinion of those who are not tablet users but want to see a Windows tablet in future.
There is not a single tablet currently which is being powered by Microsoft Windows but the demanding stats surely make Microsoft think about it in the near future. If you happen to have some more stats, same kind of survey was held back in 2010 and the results were some how the same.
According to the stats of that survey, 46 % wanted Windows on their tablets where as the users who answered in the favor of Apple iOS and Google’s Android are 16 % and 9 % respectively.
The stats are pretty much demanding for Microsoft and in the future, I bet surely we will be listening to some new tablet which will be powered by Windows operating system. This is the chance for the software giant to take a pledge and generate some good revenue for the company. The thin tanks will surely have known the stats and Windows tablet is near.
