What are the sports and games mean to you. Well they say for having a sound mind you need t have a sound body and for having a sound body the basic thing you need is to keep your self fit, Well that is only possible if you exercise daily and have some physical sport.
Well we all had some sports at our time and then all was ruined by the video games. They contributed towards the people staying home and enjoying more than taking part in physical games. Since the very day a first video game was came into light, the gaming industry has been flourishing since then. Especially int he recent past, it has shown a real remarkable growth.
Let’s have a look on some statistics. In 1982, the total gaming industry had a value of worth $1.5 billion, in 1997 it was $7 billion and then in $2004 it showed some real increment and was elevated to $25.4 billion. After three years in 2007, the estimated value of the gaming industry from all over the world was $41.9. It means that the gaming industry is rising at a rate of 9.1 percent each year and more is to be expected in the coming years.
Now if you happen to see the life pattern of the users, they normally don’t have time to play games on the PC and as we all know the era is of smartphones. There is a huge contribution of the gaming applications for each operating system including Android and iOS n the total number of applications available.
The user that play the games on mobile are increasing with every day passing and playing them on the tablet PC and smartphone is one of the real time fun thing and many of the users do it almost daily in their leisure time. So this is the time when the companies think that they should invest in this sector which surely will generate some huge revenue for them and the users will get more and more adventurous and exciting games.
The Mobile gaming industry is almost running parallel to the video games on computer as in 2010, the total worth of the mobile gaming was $33 billion and is expected to rise in the coming days. Only AngryBird game has been estimated to be downloaded more than 140 million times all over the world so you can imagine where the mobile gaming industry is going.
This is something worth investing and the software giant Microsoft has planned to expand their business in the mobile gaming industry. The company has decided to bring Xbox Live to the operating systems other than Windows phone OS. The company will be putting u[ games on Android and iOS as well. The Microsoft Global Careers page features a position within the Redmond company for a Software Development Engineer to work within the Xbox LIVE division.
The job description says: “Working with PM and test team to define, design and implement Xbox LIVE mobile experiences on Windows Phone, iOS and other platforms
Providing technical assessment and feasibility analysis on product requirement
Working with Microsoft internal teams to deliver customized Xbox LIVE experiences to mobile devices
Investigate and prototype on new mobile technologies”
