Well everyone is aware now that Sony isn’t one inch holding back in the effort to once again dominate the mobile industry with their Sony Mobile Communications. For this purpose 4 devices are already lining up either as an ‘available’ or ‘coming soon’ status. Sony is keeping their selves busy like hell because they know that how crazy they have to work if they want to survive in today’s mobile industry.
Recently some pictures were leaked and based on these and some other clues, most of us already are starting to picture Sony’s next device currently known as Sony LT29i codenamed “Hayabusa”. The pictures that just showed up themselves aren’t of any interest particularly but the information which lies within their EXIF data tells a lot about this new device.
The shots, which appeared on Picasa just few days ago, show a dull looking plant pot and some part of a computer keyboard. As said earlier the shots aren’t that important. The information within the EXIF data of the device taking these snaps is operating under build number 7.0A.0.599_53_b100. When you compare this build number with Sony’s current phone, the Xperia S, which is running on the build number 6.0.A.3.37, it appears clear that the this device will be using the next version of Sony’s mobile UI, known as eDream7.
The rumored spec sheet which accompany the LT29i “Hayabusa” says that it will have a 4”+ display with a 720×1196 resolution, which suggests that the “Hayabusa” lacks any hardware or capacitive buttons like Sony’s new devices (like Galaxy Nexus, 84 pixels will be reserved for onscreen buttons), along with this it will have a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 chipset to give a Solid performance.
Seeing the spec sheet, it’s clear that Sony will be sticking to releasing dual-core devices, at least throughout the rest of 2012. Sony is bringing devices to the table comparable to the freshest competition, namely the HTC One Series which are for now the Top end devices in the market.
Hayabusa is expected to launch in July, and in meantime we will keep our eyes open for any solid information that we can grab our hands on and will let you know.
