Here is another most important and very recent update related to pod2g  update on under progress jailbreak of iPhone 4S on iOS 5.0.1.AS it was promised, now it is claimed to be delivered. According to the latest update from pod2g, it appears that the untethered iPhone 4S jailbreak on iOS 5.0.1 is on the very edge of announcement.

Last issue that pod2g faced on A5 cache issue, has already been resolve with assistance of iPhone fellow hacker Saurik.  Below are the comments pasted as it is, by pod2g on  its official blog about the latest update made on A5 cache issue.

“OK, figured it out, the A5 cache is not a problem anymore.
I sorted it out by doing the untether in a single thread and by flushing all the dcache then all the icache in a row at a strategical point of the process.

It took me like a hundred of tests to find the key. Hard for the nerves.

For the tech guys, here is a link explaining issues related to self modifying code ( or code patching ) on the ARM platform : http://blogs.arm.com/software-enablement/141-caches-and-self-modifying-code/

Another news : I discussed with @saurik today about the launchd boot process, and he’s found one missing piece of the puzzle I needed to have a perfectly stable jailbreak. He’s definitly one of the best iOS gurus out there. Thank you saurik!!”

So it seems like pod2g is on his finalizing periods of iPhone 4S unThethered on iOS 5.0.1 and will be release for piblic very soon. In real an untethered iPhone 4S jailbreak seemed unlikely, but recent progress by pod2g has been promising. iPhone DevTeam is also close to crack the grail of Jailbreaking. What about the iPad 2 5.0.1 jailbreak, then?. Stay with us for latest updates about the Jailbreak and keep the figures cross for the latest updates.
