Apple has just released the latest smartphone iPhone 4S and jailbreaking community is working hard on it to get its unlock to the users as soon as possible. Well you must be very delighted by knowing this that iPhone 4S baseband has been dumped. Yes this is a big step towards the unlock of the device.
Well the news came in from the Twitter account of MuscleNerd, the most prominent member of jailbreaking community. A new version of UltraSn0w must be near then. We will be getting further progress on it as the big step has been taken by the developers. iPhone 4S is near to be unlocked as MuscleNerd tweeted: “iPhone 4S baseband bootrom now dumped :)”
The same developer has already hinted us about it when he said that iPhone 4S is in progress. Dumping the baseband bootrom is very important for unlocking the device. What really happens is that the code which connects iPhone with the network carrier resides inside the internal Rom. The dumping of bootrom will enable the user to exploit it and use your device from any other cellular network.
One thing to keep in mind that the unlock will be for iPhone 4S only. Previous models of iPhone (iPhone 4 and 3GS) will not be unlocked by this ultrasn0w which will shortly be released. Any information regarding the release date of the tweak and further progress is not disclosed but obviously it is near. All we can do is to wait for the tweak to appear in Cydia.
What do you think about this progress? Do you have a firm belief in MuscleNerd? Well he has the potential to do this. Share your thoughts and join us on our Facebook and Twitter account links given below to get latest news.
