R-SIM is not a new name among the hackers and jail breakers. SIM 1 was the first unlock solution for iPhone 4S with 1.0.11, 1.0.12, 1.0.13 and 1.0.14 basebands on iOS 5.0.1, R-SIM 2 works on iPhone 4S with iOS 5 firmware and R-SIM 3 for iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1 firmware.
Now R-SIM is working on R-SIM 4 which is said to unlock the iPhone 4 on 4.11.08 baseband. The 4.11.08 baseband haven’t been able to unlock for more than six months now. But finally R-SIM has claimed they can unlock the 4.11.08 baseband with their R-SIM 4.
The Latest news regarding R-SIM 4:
The developers behind R-SIM 4 commented on “Maypalo” telling their unlocking solution has been delayed and some other details regarding the unlock.
R-SIM previously mentioned that they are going to release the unlock for iPhone 4 Baseband 4.11.08 in “10 days” but as 10 days have crossed we did not hear anything regarding the unlock, until April 5th.
Via commenting on Maypalo as well as updating on their website, they mentioned:
“UPDATE April 5th
Apparently it is not easy to unlock iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08, but at this time we have at least 50% to unlock the iPhone 4, so we still need 1 week more or less to improve the program, and please stop sending email to us, just add our Facebook page or twitter or keep an eye on our site, we will update the info once it is available,”
Apparently the time frame they had previously given us, they were not able to deliver the unlocking solution, as they mention unlocking iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08 is not that easy in their latest post.
The developers behind R-SIM 4 for unlocking now mention they need another week or so to complete the unlock which is currently at 50%.
Once again we should remind you that R-SIM has a good history of unlocking iPhone. They previously unlocked iPhone 4S on iOS 5.0.1 and later released another version to unlock iPhone 4S on iOS 5.1
