When it comes to smartphone, the only thing you get in your mind is iPhone and Apple. Well the company deserve this much fame because of the latest technology providers along with the innovations and inventions of many things. Apple has been leading technology developer from past many years and the company has seen heights in very less span of time. The operating system is the most liked and admired operating system that has even been existed in the smartphone platform. Only Android gives a bit competition but still we rank iOS better. There are many certain reasons why we rate iOS better than any other operating system. It has user friendly interface, and the App Store is fill of mouth watering apps which makes the device much more loveable.
Let us not forget the thing which takes the real credit and it is Jailbreaking. If you are new to jailbreak world, it is something that tales your device to w next level. you can add more applications from the non official developers and it gives you more access to the operating system.
Currently we have an untethered jailbreak (which was much awaited and highly demanded jailbreak) for iOS 5 and iOS5.0.1 which was released in October last year by the Cupertino Headquarters. All credit goes to the French developer Pod2g. This untether exploit is only for those iPod Touch, iPhone and iPads which are running by A4 processors. The untether exploit for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 (A5 devices) is still in developing phase and the developer has promised the xploit in coming few days.
The Chronic Dev team developed a Corona package after getting the coding from Pod2g which is available in Cydia in tethered device and many of the users who jailbroke their devices with Corona package faced an issue in which iBooks app was crashed. You must know iBooks, If not then we will tell you. iBooks is one of the popular most apps of the App Store. It contains a whole iBook Store from where you can easily download the best selling books. It is available to download in the App Store and is free. SO the problem was there that if you jailbreak your device on iOS 5.0.1 untether, the iBooks app is unable to work properly. You get a message which says that there is a configuration error. It says: “There is a problem with the configuration of your iPod touch. Please restore with iTunes or redownload iBooks.”
A few developers have stated that you can simply add the repo.insanelyi.com repo and install iBooksFix2 from there. But there are still many users who are having a problem after using Corona. Nothing to worry until we have Pod2g. He in his recent blog talked about the iBooks Crash issue and Corona package has been updated in which the issue has been addressed and the iBooks is working quite well now.
He said: “@xvolks worked to include @comex sandbox patches into the Corona GIT. Expect a Corona update soon in Cydia that’ll fix iBooks and other softwaresou also faced the same problem? Xvolks said: “With the invaluable help of @pod2g, I’ve patched the kernel in corona to make iBooks work without the ugly tweak called xBooks. Still no ETA. I’ve developed this patch on my iPhone 4. It needs to be adjusted to the other devices and being tested. Since I do not own an iPad nor an iPod, I cannot do that myself. Hopefully, MuscleNerd will do the rest of the job and will release the package soon. For xBooks users: When this fix will be released, the xBooks fix will be obsolete and you’ll need to remove it and reinstall iBooks.”
