iOS 5 was released last year in October with an iPhone 4S and claimed to have more than 200 features in the new generation iOS. This new generation since then has been facing many issues relating different services. First one was the famous battery timing issue which was due to a bug that did not let a certain app to shut down thus eating battery in the background. Since then there was a non ending series of bugs and issues and Apple had to bring many updates to the firmware.
By now the latest firmware is iOS 5.0.1 and from the past couple of months there have been speculations about the upcoming major update which is iOS 5.1.
There has been many reports telling about the features which are expected to be there in the iOS 5.1. A previous report suggested that the new firmware version iOS 5.1 will bring a new Lock Screen Camera icon, a slider that you move up to quickly access your iPhone’s camera instead of having to tab the Home Screen button twice.
In another report, this was noted that the upcoming firmware will enable Siri to have support for more languages. Yes Siri will now be talking in different languages and in that report they mentioned that one of those languages is Japanese. Well these extra languages will surely make Siri more popular especially in the market other than United States.
In a report by BGR it has been noted that iOS 5.1 is expectedly to be unleashed around march 9th. This date agrees with the previous rumor and the same report suggests that iOS 5.1 has a separate slider camera button next to the unlock button and that Siri is expected to bring Chinese as seen in the settings. Nothing can be done as rumors are rumors, you cannot help this churning mill of the rumors about the most powerful company of the world.
What really make people believe in them is that Apple does not bother to say a word about any rumor, This has always been the tread of the company and finally we get something unexpected and extra ordinary from the fruit’s company. We hope that the new firmware update brings more features to the best mobile platform of the world. All we can do right now is to wait for the time when it is finally released.
