Well H1Siri is a brand new Cydia tweak which enables the users to install the most anticipated voice assistant Siri on your non iPhone 4S devices. Well that was great but now another developer just came in and said it is of no use.
Chpwn is the name of the developer who just came in and said that the said tweak is illegal. While a slight legal violated may not bother many, he has shown his disappointment that jailbreaking has become about copyright violation.
Well we reported earlier that SiriProxy is behind the tweak and obviously Apple servers will not support any ported Siri so if it is still working then it is connected to some private servers, may be a server from the developers. But it is not that you are just sending the voice to Apple, you also are sending SMS, locations, emails and contacts to the company through that private server.
This surely is illegal and you might also violate the copyrigths of the company to obtain needed files before porting Siri on non-iPhone 4S devices.
Chpwn tweeted: “Please note: if you use a proxy to access Siri, you may be sending your Email, SMS Calendar, Contacts, Location etc through that server”.
Well if you do not care about the thing that it is illegal or not, there is another thing not to go for H1Siri. It is broken. Reports suggest that the iPhone 4S key has been blocked from using Siri. Another developer hs suggested thet H1Siri is not going too far. He explained that Siri basically uses cyptographic “token” that uniquely identifies an iPhone 4S. It is very difficult to be faked as it is generated daily from your device. The tweak includes funneling Siri requests through a server and there they add that token. Since Apple allocates that token and if it is blocked, H1Siri is down.
