Guardian Interview with Google cofounder Sergey Brin in which cofounder said,
..he was most concerned by the efforts of countries such as China, Saudi Arabia and Iran to censor and restrict use of the internet, but warned that the rise of Facebook and Apple, which have their own proprietary platforms and control access to their users, risked stifling innovation and balkanizing the web.” There’s a lot to be lost,” he said. “For example, all the information in apps – that data is not crawlable by web crawlers. You can’t search it.”
Sergey Brin criticism against Apple and Facebook which is the most famous and are biggest corporate is considered as the biggest threat to world.Framing the argument as ’what is in the best interests of users’ vs. what Google wants would probably have helped his case.
According to the statement of the Google co-founder Sergey Brin it seems like these to biggest corporates are not only the biggest thread to Google but also it is the biggest threat to humanity/the Internet.
Near Google cofounder Sergey bigger issue is all about the data connectivity and the transfer of data between user and apps user are using in their devices that is why Google would love to get involve in all this to have a check on all activity going their and would like to see what is user doing inside your Facebook Account and iOS Apps.
