Google and Facebook cannot be friends and that is the truth we all know for sure. The two giants are struggling to win hearts and minds while at the same time people around the world keep an eye on the stats of the search giant and social networking giant. Who is winning and who is dominating the other in different areas. Launching Google + by Google was the real challenge for the rival Facebook.

The social network launched by Google, Google + has shaked the gaming world with the news that it will be launching games on it. The interesting thing is that at the same time Facebook also renovated the gaming experience like adding full screen option, new game ticker etc.

The gaming on Facebook has a number of users as Facebook has half a billion user across the globe, Half of the total users check their accounts daily. Number of users who play games on Facebook are also accordingly very high. Google+ is new in gaming and the number of games is very limited in it but Facebook holds a variety.

It maintains the record and u can allow or invite your friends to play games on Facebook with you which makes the gaming experience more interesting. Google + has only 16 games now, surely it will enlarge its gaming library but compared to the Social Network Giant these 16 are of no use and also the number of uses on Google+ is very low presently as compared to the active members of Facebook. According to the statistics, there are more than 200 million people who play games in Facebook each month.

There is one thing Facebook should worry about, the commission on in transaction games. Facebook takes the commission of 30 percent on any transactions that use its Facebook Credits virtual currency. But Google+ opened up with only 5 percent, which is a promotional drive for sure.

But will it Help the developers to shift from Facebook to Google or what. Google has 16 games developed by 10 developers as compared to Facebook which has developers from more than 190 countries who develop different games and apps on Facebook and give 30 percent commission to Facebook of whatever revenue they generate.

Punit Soni, Google+ games product manager said that this 5 percent is promotional and he don’t know when will this promotional stuff end, but one thing he cleared is that whenever the commission will be decided for the developers on permanent users, it will be less than 30 percent mark for sure.

Facebook will not be lessening the 30 percent mark in different opinions as it is the standard in industry as Apple also takes the same amount. The only chance so far of its decreasing is that developers start to shift from Facebook to Google+ in bulk. One more thing is that Google is not aiming to build a good revenue from gaming in short time because the major source of revenue of Google are ads (Google AdSense) and android.

Now everyone has to wait and watch where the gaming world goes. Time will decide if Google take over the Facebook in gaming stuff, but developers will be taking plunge for sure from social networking giants to search giants. What do you think? Will Facebook remain the giant in gaming world or its time is going to end? Developers also need to think that how much they make, because Facebook demands 30 percent but it has users more than Google, so giving more commission to  Facebook will be benefiting them more as they get visibility via active members.
