Apple, the most powerful company of the world has recently released the most anticipated and much awaited operating system which is iOS 5. With the iOS 5 release the users all over the world were experiencing the malfunctioned battery timings due to the presence of some bugs. Apple then released the beta version of the iOS 5 which is iOS 5.0.1.
This update was technically released to resolve the malfunctioning of the battery life of the iPhone 4S. As you know there is always a jailbreak community which has to release some software to jailbreak the iDevice and with the beta version of the iOS 5 it was confirmed that Redsnow 0.9.9b7 can be used to jailbreak the new beta version of the operating system.
The only proble it had was that the users needs to point Redsn0w to iOS 5 final IPSW. The problem has now been resolved as the Redsnow has also released an update which will solve this problem of the users and jailbreaking will be easier. The iOS 5.0.1 beta version is on the Point to older firmware scenario thus causing the problem when jailbtreaking with the previous version.
With the latest version of the jailbreaking software just released the problem will automatically be solved as the update will recognize iOS 5.0.1 natively and you still need to point Redsn0w to its IPSW at least once so the program will cache all the important bits. After doing it for the first time you will not have to do it again in future.
In the new version of the iOS 5, the main problem which Apple has focused on is the battery issue though minor other changes also have been made. The new Redsnow 0.9.9b8 is available to be downloaded on Windows and Mac operating system from where the users can easily jailbreak their devices running on iOS 5.0.1 beta.
