A few weeks earlier he reported that he is working on the untethered jailbreak for the latest firmware by the Worlds most powerful company.
Well all the users were waiting when all of a sudden the developer came up with the untethered jailbreak and made it public. The users are quite delighted and thankful to the developer who has fulfilled their wishes. The developer has seeded the two dev teams his coding about the jailbreak.
Chronic Dev team has developed a package named Corona to jailbreak untethered your device and the iPhone Dev team has updated the famous Redsn0w jailbreak tweak for this untethered jailbreak.
Soon after the Dev team has released the Reds0w updates version for the jailbreak, they have now came up with Pwnage tool. The updated version of the Pwnage tool is has now been released for the masses to download.
What is the difference if the team already has updated the Redsn0w. Well the answer is very simple. Those users who want their device unlocked and preserve their basebands, the Pwnage tool is for them. The tool will allow you to create a custom IPSW, thus allowing you to update your firmware while still preserving the baseband for unlocking using either Gevey SIM or UltraSn0w.
Also to remind you that the untethered jailbreak is only for those devices which are running on A4 chips. The untethered jailbreak is compatible only for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3, iPod touch 4G and iPad 1.
The devekloper has promised that he is working on the untethered jaiklbreakn on iPhone 4S and iPad 2. These two are the only devices from the company that are running on A5 chips.
Well the Pwnage tool is available for the users to download now and is only available for the Mac OS x users. Those users who are using Windows as their operating system will have to wait until the Dev team comes up with the Pwnage tool that works on Windows.
