We recently posted about the growing rate of Google Chrome and it is on its way to become the most popular internet browser in the coming year. It is not enough, Google knows how to do it and a simply intelligent app has been rolled in by the search giant in the official extension store. This is a remote control computer beta extension which let you control another machine with your machine by simply giving the authentication code.

The Chrome remote desktop beta version arrived this Friday and it is a browser-based equivalent of remote desktop software and the thing which is more interesting is that it is compatible with every operating system from Windows to iOS.

This is very helpful software for all those who need to take care of different machine, IT administrators managing employees or someone who is away for a few days and want to have control on his machine back home.

Once you are logged in to your Google account you can create a one time authentication code and if that code verifies, you have the access to that particular machine.

Google mentioned in a release note: “Chrome Remote Desktop BETA is the first installment on a capability allowing users to remotely access another computer through the Chrome browser or a Chromebook. Chrome Remote Desktop BETA is fully cross-platform, so you can connect any two computers that have a Chrome browser, including Windows, Linux, Mac, and Chromebooks.”

This is a limited technology for now and is the phase of testing, not every one can acquire it right now but the time is near when after fully tested, the extension is made public. Do you have any stories to share? Have you tried this app? Share your thoughts in comments below.
