Apple has always been the one to bring in the latest and awesome technologies and here is the clue that the company will keep on doing so in the future as well. A report suggests that Apple has filed an interesting patent with the US Patent & Trademark Office which details a brand new and revolutionary type interface of iOS. That is not it, the filing also contains a brand new social networking application for Apple’s operating system.
Well it is not that we just got the rumor; rather we also got some unusual details. It has a new managing data like music, photos, web pages and other stuff and the company is calling it “Persistent Overlay”.
The interface takes several elements from Notification Center and the multitasking bar, builds upon them, and makes them a source for managing data. Well this is a major clue that Apple has started working for iOS 6 and the things will be different.
Jack Purcher reported: “It’s something like a personal multitasking bar system that will hold photos, tunes and documents that you need quick access to during the day. The patent also reveals that a new social networking app is in the works and that you’ll have the ability to use your Magic Mouse or Trackpad with your iPad when docked.”
The very interested thing which will be there in Persistent Overlay is that you will be able to have multitasking bar for your own data like music, photos and documents etc. Nothing can be predicted as yet because it is the papers. Nothing has been created yet but obviously when the think tank is of Apple Inc. you must expect some thing extra ordinary.
The filing says: “Apple’s patent states that “the persistent overlay could take many forms such as textual, graphical, and video data. The persistent overlay could also be related to audio data (such as a media item encoded as an MP3 file).
For example, an icon or other appropriate image could be used to represent a music item encoded as an MP3 file. In this way, the persistently displayed icon associated with the music item could remain viewable from one displayed page to another.”
“In some cases, the persistent overlay could be rendered translucent, or semi-transparent, so as not to completely obscure the overlaid visual information. In this way, the persistent overlay could remain viewable and yet unobtrusive.”
The patent suggest that the user will be able to setup multiple persistent layers which in return make you drag your data to the edges of the screen of your device and store them in the layers.
A new app for social networking will also be released for the users which will make the experience of social networking more easy and smooth. It will not let the user pass through different levels of authentications. This is not it many other things have been in the tank for you to come.
