Amazon just released Kindle Fire and one of the most fascinating in such a small price tag. Yes the device is $300 less than the cheapest iPad but still the device is expected to be the best seller this holiday but let me show you the darker side of the picture.
Yes every thing ahs some merits and demerits. Kindle fire is surely good but it also has some shortcomings. Let’s have a look on them.
1) No native Android support
All of us want the native Android version of the Google apps like Gmail and Google Maps etc but Kindle lacks it. No Android basic app comes with the device and all of have to take it from Amazon.
2) No Volume buttons
There are no physical buttons to turn the volume on and off. In many situations you play a music and it is louder and you have to stop or mute it immediately which is easy with the physical buttons but the device lacks them and you can only control the volume from the dashboard. You cannot go to the dashboard at once.
3) No home button
Yes, the Kindle Fire has no home button. Some of the apps as you all know are not as easier to exit from them; so having a home button is kind of a blessing. You press them and out of the app. In case of Kindle Fire it becomes somewhat difficult.
4) Slippery Case
Kindle Fire case is little bit slippery. No matter how dry or how soft your hands are the tablet starts slipping out of your hand if you catch it for a while.
5) Home Screen
Home screen of the device is without any organization. All those things which you have used previously are displayed on the home screen and makes it creepy. It is the worst part of the device you have.
6) No Folders
Kindle Fire lacks the folder and it needs them immediately. You have a lot of Kindle books and all these books just dump into shelf after shelf in the Kindle interface.
7) Touch Accuracy
The Kindle fire has lackluster touch accuracy especially on the interface of the Home screen. It also has not the calibration thing we used to have in the earlier touch devices.
8) No Bluetooth
The Kindle Fire is deprived of Bluetooth which I think must be there. If you are on a move surely this will be a problem for you.
9) No Android App Store
Kindle Fire users cannot easily upload the Android App Store on the device. This is something worth reconsidering as you cannot get the Android apps easily from the Amazon App store.
10) Battery Timings
Kindle Fire eats up the battery swiftly and you have to recharge it. If you get 8 hours of tablet working without recharging it, consider yourself lucky.
Well these are the shortcomings but again the price tag covers them all up. Only $199 is what makes Kindle Fire most demanding tablet in the market. Leave your comments or if you want to add any of the shortcomings, feel free to do so. Fore more reviews, stay with us.
